RCPN is hosting an information session to brief and discuss about the Chlorella vulgaris microalgae potency as an ideal platform for production of recombinant protein. This session will be held in the EDC small conference hall at 12 am, 4 ^th Jul, 2015.

The meeting will be presented by Mrs. Solmaz Ekhtari, new member of RCPN.

Soulmaz Ekhtari is Ph.D. student of plant developmental cytology at University of Tabriz, Iran. She received a B.S. degree in plant biology from University of zabol in 2008 and a M.Sc. degree in plant developmental cytology from the University of Bou ali in 2010. She started Ph.D. in 2014 and as a high rank student in Iranian Ph.D. Entrance Exam. Presently, she would be working on her Ph.D. thesis at Research Center for Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology (RCPN) on production of recombinant proteins by green microalgae.

Scientific Meetings In RCPN (SMIR) Invitation – Medicinal plants: From cultivation and extension to compositional analysis, cytogenomics and epigenetics.

RCPN is hosting an information session to brief and discuss about compositional analysis, cytogenomics and epigenetics of medicinal plants . This session will be held in the EDC small conference hall at 12 am, 23 ^th May, 2015.

The meeting will be presented by Dr. Mohammad Bagher Hassanpouragdam, guest speaker from the University of Maragheh.

Dr. Hassanpouraghdam has been graduated with a PhD in Horticultural Sciences from the University of Tabriz, Iran. He has been concentrated on the study of medicinal and aromatic plants diversity and analysis from Northwest Iran. He worked and implemented his PhD thesis in the area of nutritional demands of a native medicinal plant (Tanacetum balsamita) from Iran, acquiring experience with essential oil and minerals analysis as well as several physiological and morphological traits assay. He has reasonable experience working with other analytical methods such as HPLC and TLC. As an assistant professor at the University of Maragheh, he has been involved in teaching and research section with medicinal and aromatic plants. For the past eighteen months from September 2013 to April 2015; has been a visiting researcher at the Dep. of Genetics, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil; working on sugarcane cytogenomics and epigenetics
